Exo’s Thoughts: After the Fight

This story contains themes of cybernetic enhancement, military conflict, and political frustration. It includes depictions of battle, technological exploitation, and dissatisfaction with government systems.
Exo sat in the dim light of his private lab, surrounded by the whirring of machines and the soft buzz of technology at work. His transplanted exo-skeleton hand lay in pieces on the workbench in front of him, with intricate circuits and metal parts scattered around, remnants of a brutal battle. He carefully examined the damage, his fingers though no longer human still working with precision as he adjusted and repaired the components of his hand.
Yet, as he worked, Exo’s mind drifted far from the task at hand. His thoughts were consumed with frustration and bitter reflection. India had always been a land rich in culture, history, and people he respected deeply, but the Indian government? That was a different story altogether.
“India deserves so much more,” Exo said, his voice laced with frustration. “Its people, its heritage… It’s one of the oldest and most powerful civilizations on Earth. But the government… they just don’t see it. They don’t recognize the potential of what Exotic Industries could bring to the table.” He exhaled deeply, leaning forward as he carefully reattached the metal plating to his hand.
Exo had come to appreciate the complexities of India as a nation. The Indian people had always shown resilience, innovation, and the ability to achieve remarkable things. In his vision, Exotic Industries could help elevate them. With the power of his technology, he could not only reshape India’s future but also alter the course of history itself. Yet, the government had never grasped his vision. They were perpetually mired in politics, bureaucracy, and an inability to adapt quickly to the rapidly changing world.
He felt the cold steel of his hand lock back into place. The machinery whirred to life, and Exo flexed his fingers, pleased with the repair. But the frustration lingered. He held deep respect for the land, the culture, and the people of India. Still, he couldn’t overlook how the government had failed to act when the country needed decisive leadership the most.
“They just don’t get it,” Exo said bitterly, staring at his reflection in a nearby screen. “If they had trusted me from the beginning, Exotic Industries would have been the backbone of this nation’s defense. We could have shielded India from every threat, but instead, I had to take matters into my own hands.”
He remembered the Subcontinent conflict, a struggle that revealed the true shortcomings of India’s leadership. While Exo was at the forefront with Exotic Industries, deploying his most cutting-edge technology, the Indian government was slow to act, remaining inactive as the danger grew. Exo had no choice but to step in himself, unleashing the full extent of his technological capabilities to neutralize and dismantle the enemies threatening India.
“It should have never come to this,” Exo muttered, clenching his fists on the bench. “If only they’d realized that Exotic Industries could have been the solution all along.”
He flexed his exo-skeleton hand, feeling the strength of his creation surge through him. Yet, beneath that metallic power, a simmering anger remained. He held a deep respect for India the people, the land, the rich history. They deserved greatness. But the government? They had allowed this nation’s future to slip away, too entangled in their own politics to grasp the reality of their situation.
“I never needed them,” Exo finally declared, his voice unwavering. “And I don’t need them now. Exotic Industries will thrive, no matter their doubts.”
Exo rose to his feet, his hand now fully operational, the metal shining as if it had just been forged. He took a final glance around the lab, his eyes surveying the various systems in motion, the infrastructure that symbolized the future he was creating. It was time to leave the past behind, to stop relying on a government that couldn’t see beyond its own limitations.
India would rise. Not because of the government, but because of individuals like Exo and Exotic Industries. It wasn’t about politics it was about power, progress, and vision.
As Exo stepped away from the workbench, he felt a sense of resolve settle in. The Indian government might never understand his approach, but he didn’t care anymore. His legacy would be written on the strength of his vision, the technologies he created, and the future he would carve out for the world.
India would stand tall, with or without the government’s blessing.
